Have you attended an information session or virtual student panel but still have questions about student life at Northwestern? Sign up for a ‘Cat Chat (formerly known as Purple Preview Conversations) for a one-on-one video chat or phone call with a current NU student. You can ask things like “Why did you choose Northwestern?” Or “what was the hardest part of leaving home and adapting to student life on campus?” Whatever comes to mind, our Wildcats will be happy to share their honest perspectives with you to help you decide your level of Purple Pride!

You’ll be contacted from admsac@northwestern.edu once you have been paired with a current student. Please allow up to two weeks before receiving your confirmation during the academic year for a Cat 'Chat. 

While previous attendance at an admission information session or student panel is not required, it is encouraged prior to registering for a ‘Cat Chat. Attending a session and familiarizing yourself with Northwestern can inspire thoughtful questions for your conversation, overall making the conversation a more valuable experience for you and your host. If you have not yet attended an information session on campus or online and are interested in doing so, you can register for one here. 

These conversations are a chance to learn about the student experience at Northwestern. Hosts are unable to answer specific questions about the admissions process.
