Alumni 'Cat Chat Request

This is an informal conversation—not an interview.

An alumni conversation is not part of Northwestern's application review process. It's an opportunity to ask questions, learn about life during and after Northwestern, and enjoy an engaging conversation.

Designed for high school juniors and seniors and prospective transfer students.

Alumni conversations are intended for high school juniors and seniors and prospective transfer students. These conversations are for students who have not yet submitted an application to Northwestern and are interested in learning more about the University.

Find the connection that's right for you.

For our Fall conversation cycle, you may submit one conversation request by Dec 4. Choose the Affinity/Special Interest Group (ASIG) or Geographic Region that interests you most. If you'd like to connect with another alum from a different group or region, you may submit another request when our Winter conversation cycle opens in January.

We'll do our best to connect you.

Conversation requests are matched based on alumni availability for the type of request you submit. While we can't guarantee every request can be matched, we’ll do our best to make sure you have a conversation with our alumni. If you haven't heard from one of our alumni within two weeks of your request, you are welcome to contact us at aac@u.northwestern.edu.
