Separately I want to check with you on this - are you aware of a Island School fair on Sept 19? I somehow have it in my calendar but don’t recall any details.

Here is the announcement about the 2019 ESF University Fair. It is on a Monday….18 February 2019. I thought you should know early so that you could plan to be there and maybe find another AAC member to help. I know it’s during the day, and that is inconvenient. We hope you will be able to fit it into your schedule.

Dear Colleagues,
 
On behalf of English Schools Foundation (ESF), we are delighted to invite you to Hong Kong for the 2019 ESF University Fair.  The Fair will be held on 18 February 2019, 13:30-17:00.
 
Fair Information
Approximately 1,200 Year 12 students from ESF secondary schools will be attending this Fair.  We will also extend an open invitation to parents and students of other years from all ESF schools.  For crowd control, three 90-minute sessions are arranged, during which students from two to three ESF schools will have the opportunity to speak to university representatives.
 
Each participating institution will be given a booth (sized about 60cmx120cm) and two chairs.  We understand that some institutions have expressed interest in hosting talks during the fair.  However, due to the staggered arrival of students from different ESF schools, we are unable to accommodate these requests.
 
There will be a Reception for delegates immediately following the Fair on-site at King George V School.  The Reception is scheduled to commence shortly after Fair close and will be an opportunity to meet with senior ESF personnel, as well as members of the Senior Leadership Teams and Higher Education Counsellors from ESF secondary schools.
 
The timing of the day works as follows:
Set up                          :           12:30 onwards
Session 1                      :           13:30 – 15:00
Session 2                      :           14:30 – 16:00
Session 3                      :           15:30 – 17:00
Delegates Reception     :           17:30 – 18:30

Deadline for registration is Friday, 23 November, 2018.
 
Agents
We have a strict “No Agents” policy, as we do not feel that this Fair is a suitable platform for them.  Feedback from our students show that they find the greatest value in talking to the admission staff of H.E. institutions, as they are able to get direct answers to most of their questions on the day (or an incredibly quick follow-up).  We do ask for your understanding in this matter and if you are unable to travel for the Fair, we are very happy to welcome you to KGV on any alternate dates.
