Admission and Affordability Overview
Led by an admission director, this 30-minute session provides an overview of the application process and financial aid support, and answers questions about Northwestern and the college search.
Campus Tour
This 75-90-minute walking tour provides a comprehensive overview of the academic, student life, and residential experience at Northwestern. Guests will explore academic buildings, visit a Northwestern classroom, stop by the student union, and enjoy lakefront views as they see the sites of some of Northwestern's most iconic student traditions. Please note that the majority of the campus tour takes place outdoors. 
 
For the safety and comfort of current students, the general campus tour does not enter a residential living space. Our YouTube channel and digital campus tour provide immersive tours and photographs of student rooms and other residential amenities.
Specialty Tours
Specialized tours focus primarily on different academic pursuits at Northwestern, and provide some foundational information about campus life and student resources.  
Engineering and Design Tour
Explore the McCormick School of Engineering along with related design and entrepreneurial spaces. This tour lasts between 90-100 minutes and includes a 15-minute walk from the Segal Visitors Center to the School of Engineering.  
Journalism, Arts, and Media Tour
Explore the Medill School of Journalism and the School of Communication on this 60-75 minute walking tour, which includes spaces related to media and broadcast journalism, theatre, dance and fine arts
Labs, Libraries, and Learning Beyond the Classroom Tour
Explore the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Education and Social policy during this 60-75 minute walking tour, with visits to research labs, libraries, and other spaces that support study abroad, internships and experiential learning opportunities across Northwestern.  
 School Information Sessions
School information sessions are scheduled and led by partners in Northwestern’s undergraduate schools. If school sessions are not available during your visit, each school provides online opportunities to connect. Click here to review dates and details.
Bienen School of Music
Intended for prospective music majors, this 60-minute information session provides an overview of Bienen’s academic programs and performance opportunities and includes a student-led tour of related spaces.
Medill School of Journalism
Visit academic spaces and learn more about Medill’s academic programs, advising and support, and student community during this 90-minute session.
School of Communication
Learn more about the School of Communication’s programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders; Communication Studies; Performance Studies; Radio/Television/Film; and Theatre in this 60-minute session.
